Hello

Hello everyone, my name is Liz luv 2 cre8te blog
I am a newbie to the Vignette blog.
I learned about this from a lovely lady friend Peg from Happy in Quilting. (Who gently twisted my arm)
I had planned to finish all my UFOs and this indeed is a very looooooooooong list but I have been dreaming of doing this quilt since I first saw it in January.
So it wasn't too hard to convince me to join along ( and I'm sure one or three!!!!!!!!! quilty diversions won't hurt ) So thanks to Peg for convincing me and also to Perri for starting this great blog.

I am looking forward to making a start on this lovely quilt this weekend. I have chosen my fabrics. I am going to use the 'Flower Sugar' range by Lecien. I bought these fat quarters last year so I'm glad to be using my stash. I love this range lots of lovely, yummy spring colours and
gorgeous roses. Both my favourites. Along with stitchery and Leanne Beasley designs which are also my favourites. I am currently stitching the 'Down in the Garden' BOM as well. Which is a gorgeous quilt too and is also another favourite thing for me to do, gardening.

I can't wait to get stuck into transferring the stitcheries and churn dash blocks. and yes I am still working on that loooooooooooooong list of UFOs.

  1. Flower Sugar is wonderful and actually I think colour wise looks very similar (ish) to Sweet Broderie so will be interesting to see how yours goes! I have still not finished a quilt (ever! -well unless we count my beginners class table runner) I count them done at quilt top stage. I am petrified of stuffing them up with the actual quilting part.

Oh and I just read on Josie's blog (Dilly Dimple) that she is busy working Butterfly Garden... so definitely lots of big Leanne's House adorers here!

  7. Hi Liz.... I love Flower Sugar too. It's going to be gorgeous. Great that you're working from 'stash' too. That deserves a round of applause!
I've got Down in the Garden patterns too... I'm desperate to start it. Looks like we have good taste and we're in good company.
