I'm almost up to date

I've been working hard at getting blocks 4, 5 & 9 done before the next issue arrives. I've got just a bit more stitching to go on blocks 9 and 4 and then sew the applique shapes on and I'm done.

There really is a lot of stitching for the borders. I am enjoying it though. Keep on stitching!

Cheers Shelley H.

I am ready .......

Ahh, I feel like I can take a deep breath now as all blocks so far are ready to stitch :o)

I have it all up on my design wall, want to see?

I am loving these bright colors, not something I would normally work with.

The full Blog Post is over on MY BLOG if you are interested.

Enjoy your stitching,
Sharon

It's been a while....

.... But I have some progress to report. Today I finished the stitcheries on Block 1

Blocks 2 and 3 are pieced, I have the magazine for blocks 4, 5 and 9 and in just a week's time, I'll have the patterns for the next two blocks. I'm quite a way behind, but keep getting distracted by other gorgeous projects.

A lot can happen in a week ........

This quilt has totally taken all my attention and spare time in the last week but I am so pleased with the progress so far.  I have not done a single stitch yet as I was trying to piece it all first.  That is my plan of attack!

Here is my progress so far .........

Block One

Block Two and Three

Block Four
I was hoping to get these 4 and the next two blocks (5 and 9) pieced before the next magazine comes out next week but I think that is a little ambitious so I will just concentrate on getting these 4 pieced and ready for stitching.

I have not done any Farmer's Wife blocks this week so my aim is to try and keep away from this one this afternoon and sew two blocks for the Farmer!  :o)

How is everyone else progressing along? Are you ready for the next blocks in the magazine due out next week?

Happy Stitching,
Sharon

Soon...

... Issue 4, will be here !...

... it looks so exciting ... just love the cover ...

... if you pop over to Leanne's blog you can read a little more ...

How is your stitching going ?

I'll be honest and say I'm so far behind with my mystery quilt stitching ... not enough hours in the day, or is it days in the week ?

Happy stitching, P

Introduction

Hi Everyone,

My name is Sharon and I have been watching all your wonder full creations from afar for some time now and I have finally bitten the bullet and decided to join in :o)

My post man delivered the final lot of fabric this morning so I have a pile of "eye candy" sitting on my cutting table waiting for my attention.

I have decided to go with the original fabrics. They are a little different to what I am used to working with, but being my Farmer's Wife Quilt that I am also working on at the moment is all "Country" I needed a change.

I also have a BLOG (I am new to blogging) so if you are interested please pop over and see what else I am working on.

I am looking forward to getting to know you all and sharing our progress with this beautiful quilt.

Happy stitching, Sharon

New stitcher

I am so excited to finally have found the fabrics and first three issues of Vignette so that I can begin this beautiful quilt. It is really hard to find things up in the mountains of NE Washington state, USA. I must do most all shopping on the internet. I realize that I am months behind but hope that enthusiasm and the approaching fall days will help me stitch happily along.

Slow progress

My vignette progress is very slow though I love stitching all the flowers. I have stitched block 4 but need to do the patchwork. Blocks 5 and 9 make up another of the very long sides of the quilt so it is taking a while to stitch.

There is still quite a way to go!

My progress

Here is my progress picture.

I made a mistake measuring the bird block (I traced the outlines of the stitchery and assumed this was the size of the block) so I had to add another narrow border, and I will do the same for the other corners.

It is so much fun to follow the progress of all the other members. I love seeing all the different versions.

Nearly There Block 2 and 3

I have completed the shoo-fly blocks I was flying away from (and the additional 8 that I think will be used in other blocks later on,but not sure which ones –I probably missed it in the mag, somewhere)
Blocks 1, 2 and 3 lined up on the couch

Block 2 - I haven't done the little hearts yet, but they are cut out and waiting.

Block 3

Mine is being done in Sweet Broderie and so far the only differences between the pattern and mine (should be) that I chose different pairs of the fabrics to use in the Shoo Fly Blocks, the same fabrics, but different pairs.
More photos than talking today, I'm sooo tired even though it's not even 8pm here!
Will comment on all the new posts tomorrow, well done to everyone, keep it up!

I'm so tired I accidentally posted this to the Heaxagon Quilt Blog :(
