Fresh news !

In a way I'm very happy ! I've finished the block 1 !!

On the other hand I'm so behind time with this quilt...I feel ashamed when I see all the beautiful progresses of many...
I NEED your support !

  1. Florence, well done. This is definately a quilt not to be rushed one one to work at, at a slow and steady pace. Your stitching and piecing looks perfect. Looking forward to seeing more progress. Hugs, Sharon

    1. You are doing so well! All I have finished are the shoo fly blocks...no stitching at all yet, so no worries, just keep on working, it looks beautiful. Besides all quilts are like life, it is the happiness along the journey you need to enjoy! :)

  3. Oh Florence - believe me, you are way far ahead of me. I am trying to figure out what to do on that border so I don't have to do all that embroidery. I am still working on the first bird block, so trust me, you are not behind (and this is not a race anyway!) Listen to Kristen and enjoy the journey!

  5. Florence it looks great so far! I have to agree with the other girls, not a quilt to be rushed but to "enjoy the journey". I am still working on the embroidery and loving it, I think of all the things that have happened in my life as I've been stitching and wish I'd made a journal to go with it! Also, Ramona, you could replace the big stitchery border with one of your favourite co-ordinating fabrics or a coloured linen which you could have some great quilting in, or make another pieced border....

  7. Looks really nice, Florence. There are about 6 gals making this quilt in my small quilt group and this week were moaning about how long it may take. I reminded them that I have only recently finished a quilt that I had in works for 10 years and am currently working on one that I've had in the works for 18 years (1994 according to my mom!) so there is no rush. Savour and enjoy.
