Finally ....some progress

 After a long break, I finally put together the last piece of stitching for the Vignette quilt. I have left this quilt 3/4 done and haven't had time or the inclination to continue till now. There is still plenty of patchwork that needs doing but at least I am back working on the quilt.

I have used water soluble paper inside my appliques , loving it!And glue pen .

We had a visit of Leanne and Gail here at our shop in Northern Norway a few years ago

- where they got to enjoy some new snow falling in her hair later in the evening:))

I have finished block one and being I am still not a huge fan of Needleturn Applique

 I have decided to omit some and replace with stitchery.

Here is a closer look of the mini blocks

 

I still need to add something under the word Family 

but will wait to see what else is on the quilt before doing so.

Mrs Beasley's Sampler Quilt fabrics

Vignette Magazine arrived in Holland last week, and I immediately caved when I saw block 1 of Mrs Beasley's Sampler Quilt.

I raided my stash, and paid a quick visit to my favourite quilt store to add a few FQ's to the collection. More will be added as I go along.

I spent all evening yesterday cutting all my pieces and pinning them to a scan/print of the pattern. Now I need to choose my threads :o)

Is anyone else working on this project?

It's FINISHED! Whoop whoop!

My Vignette quilt is 100% finished.  It even has a sleeve on it so that it's ready for the next local quilt show.

Mrs Beasley's Sampler

I've just been to my LQS and picked up this :o)

I have to go and do Kinder Duty this afternoon 

but knowing these are sitting on my cutting table waiting for me 

when I get home makes me happy.

Thank you Leanne, I am in love with this one already.
